The Thomas Cellini Huntington’s Foundation was formed in 2005 to support families diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease. Huntington’s Disease, also known as HD, is a degenerative brain disorder that causes spontaneous body movements, diminishes the affected individual’s ability to walk, talk, think, and reason. Eventually, the person with HD becomes totally dependent on others for his or her care. The final result is a slow, painful death.

Huntington’s Disease is hereditary. The children of parents diagnosed with HD have a 50% chance of inheriting the disease. While research is ongoing, there is no cure or definitive treatment. The Thomas Cellini family has personally experienced the difficulty of having to deal with this unfortunate condition and recognizes the lack of available support groups to help families affected by HD.

The mission of the Foundation is to serve as a needed resource for the Huntington’s Community by providing services to those who have been diagnosed with or are at risk of developing HD, their families and the communities that serve them. Our commitment includes supporting research, education and testing to limit the passage of the HD gene from generation to generation.

On behalf of the Thomas Cellini Huntington's Foundation, we are seeking a variety of donations that will enable us to fulfill our mission. The donation of any used vehicle, for example, could be used to transport patients stricken with HD to and from important medical appointments. Antiques, real estate, bequests, valuables, cash donations and volunteers are the welcome enablers that will make it possible for us to reach out to all those whose lives have been affected by Huntington's Disease.

This video is a tribute to Tom Cellini, who passed away peacefully on June 9, 2015, after his long and courageous battle with Huntington's Disease: Tribute to Tom Cellini - YouTube
